Tipper-Reynolds Cup

The Tipper-Reynolds Cup is awarded annually to the player who has played 7 games or more with the best success rate in league matches. The score is adjusted to take account of opponent's strengths. We are almost at the half way stage and here are the current top 20 who have played 4 or more games so far, plus the scores of those who have played 3 or less.

Xmas Newsletter

Another year for us is coming to an end, and I think you will agree that it has been one to remember.
Our 1st & 3rd teams came top of their respective leagues, we entered 3 teams in the Harrod Cup and finished in the top 3 places, Alan Agnew became County Champion and we have a new web site.
Alan & Chris Tipper were joint Winners of our Club Championship and Andrew Wilson won the Under 100s Competition and Tipper-Reynolds Cup in his first full season with us. Well done to all concerned.
We are pleased to have welcomed new members, Steve Emmerton, John Howlett, Sean McDonald and Steve Cocket, but unfortunately lost Daniel Chen, who has moved away from the area.
I hope the others won't mind if I mention Steve Emmerton in particular, who has developed this web site. I think we all agree that Steve has done an excellent job, and we at last have a web site that does all that we want, plus more.
As a result of our successes last season we now have one team in each of the LRCAs 5 Divisions. The season is almost half way through and as expected we are finding life a little more challenging.
Despite this we still have a thriving club whose the friendly atmosphere has been commented on by many visiting players, something which we should be very proud of.
So, thank you all for your contributions and have a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Quick Play Evening

Just a reminder that Alan is organising another Quick Play evening on Jan 3rd. The last one was a great success and we hope that as many of you as possible will be taking part this time.
This time it will be a Team competition, with teams of 3 or 4 probably playing each other once.
For those of you who have not yet entered, could you please do so by 27th Dec, so that we can sort out the teams, which we plan to each contain 1 higher, 1 or 2 medium, and 1 lower graded player.
