U100 Championship

Mick Brown is into the Final of the U100 Championship following his win against Stephen Holmes in the Semi-Final. He will now play the winner of the other Semi-Final between Neil Lassetter and David Holmes.

Next Week's Matches

We have 3 matches next Thursday. Ashby '1' are at home against Wigston '2', Ashby '5' are at home against Market Harborough '3' and Ashby '3' are away against Wigston '4'.

These 3 matches will bring our league season to a conclusion and we then embark on the Harrod Cup, in which we have entered 3 teams. Ashby Colts won this competition last year and will be looking for a successful defence.

Thursday Night Double

Unfortunately it was a double defeat as both Ashby '2' and Ashby '4' were well beaten. It was no surprise that Ashby '2' lost as they were massively outgraded on boards 2, 3 and 4, although we did manage to get good draws on boards 2 and 4. Ashby '4' only fielded 3 players and suffered a whitewash in their match against Wigston '5'

Next Week's Matches

There are 2 matches next week, with Ashby '2' at home against title challengers Market Harborough '1', and Ashby '4' away against Wigston '5'.

Thursday Night Result

Not surprisingly, Ashby '4' were beaten by top of the table, and unbeaten, Market Harborough '2' on Thursday evening. We were massively outgraded on boards 1 & 2 but there were respectable draws from Sean and Mike on boards 3 & 4.

There is only one match this week, with Ashby '4' entertaining Market Harborough '2' on Thursday evening.
